Careggi University Hospital

The institutional mission of Careggi University Hospital is to achieve the highest level of response to the demand for health, defined as the recovery and maintenance of physical, mental and social health, in a process that includes the fomation, for building and improving the skills of operators and subjects in training and research, aimed at the continuous progress of clinical and biomedical knowledge. All the scientific and clinical skills of the university departments of the biomedical area and those of the Health Service as well as the teaching activities coordinated by the School of Human Health Sciences contribute to achieving this goal. The Institution contributes, with its action, to the realization of the mission of the Regional Health System and to its development. It identifies the following principles as constitutive elements of its institutional mission: innovation, research, study of biodiversity, implementation of organizational models, gender medicine, training, continuous education, appropriateness, network with the territory and discussion with local authorities, quality of life, relationship with citizens, decision-making autonomy, enhancement of roles.

Role of Careggi University Hospital in the project INGENE 2.0

Recruitment of patients suffering from muscle pathology; evaluation of anamnestic, clinical and imaging data and collection of such data in specific databases; muscle performance evaluation according to the module Physio-Test; functional evaluation of patients using the AUTOMA device.
